The story
Ella. The pivotal face and beating heart of the exhibition. She stands before the viewer as a contemporary icon of universal femininity. EVM brings to life a woman with a magnetic gaze, an archetypal and pop presence, suspended between reality and vision, between image and symbol, between the ethereal and the unfathomable, as if she is peering from some other narrative world. Ella is not an individual portrait; she does not tell a single story, but contains many. Her multicolored hair becomes the flag of a multifaceted, elusive identity, never reducible to a single face or meaning. Her image –timeless feminine allegory, nomadic and unconventional– does not present itself as an object of desire but as a self-aware subject, an active protagonist of a broader narrative that takes shape throughout the exhibition. In her, sweetness and strength, grace and rebellion, seduction and purity coexist. There is no uncertainty in her pose, nor self-satisfaction: only a clear, full presence, self-sufficient, an emblem of a new femininity, proud and distant from any imposed stereotype.
Work
A powerful and untamed universe, generated by a radically innovative pictorial gesture in the way of figurative expression, able to regenerate the original aesthetics of American Pop Art, transposing them into a dimension where the traditions of the Old Continent, social-cultural commitment, and at the same time, a deeply personal – therefore original and recognizable – expressiveness intertwine, making his brush a unique presence in the landscape of European New Pop Art.

Tøn exists for art that stays open — work that questions more than it concludes. We look for contemporary artists who are honest about the search, not just the result. We're always open to those we haven't met yet.
