Merve Sagit

Merve Sagit is a Dublin-based interdisciplinary conceptual artist whose practice spans photography, printmaking, textile, and experimental material processes. Her work explores poetic language, cultural identity, folklore, and the material traces of memory and emotion.

She studied Literature at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, where she developed a focus on poetics, cultural narratives, and symbolic language, and later completed an MA in Digital Media in Ireland, followed by an MA in Fashion Communication at NCAD in Dublin.

Sagit has exhibited in both Turkey and Ireland, including at Trinity College Dublin, Tøn Gallery, and Gallery X, and has participated in projects and workshops at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA). Her work frequently incorporates cyanotype and experimental printing techniques to investigate grief, transformation, and the persistence of emotional memory.
